The sting came after several people in the South End area of the city complained to police to do something about prostitution in their area. Officers hope "anti-John" stings like this will help curtail the practice in that area.

Those arrested include:

  • Sigfredo Anglero-Madera, 45, of Ware
  • Fausto Cepeda-Rosario, 40, of Springfield
  • Paul Ramirez-Martinez, 37, of West Springfield
  • Mohammed Abdraba, 27, of West Springfield

Authorities charged each of them with paying for sexual conduct, Springfield police said. Abdraba faces an additional charge after he failed to stop for police, officials added.
